'Boston Strong Night' Rules in Gwinnett

Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan and other athletes with Boston connections throw out ceremonial first pitches before the Gwinnett Braves game on Tuesday.

Pro sports stars with connections to Massachusetts came to Coolray Field in Gwinnett on Tuesday (May 7) to pay honor to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings

It was called "Boston Strong Night." Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan honed his skills while playing for Boston College. Rodney Harrison won a Super Bowl Championship while playing safety for the New England Patriots. Dee Brown played guard for the Celtics. Jason Varitek was a catcher for the Red Sox and won two World Series while playing at Fenway Park.

They threw out ceremonial first pitches before the game between the Gwinnett Braves and the Pawtucket Red Sox, a Boston Red Sox farm team.

Attendance was 4,033 for the game and event, according to the G-Braves, and over $15,000 was raised for Boston Marathon tragedy victims, through OneFundBoston.org.
