Collins Hill Loses in AAAAAA Soccer Final

Berkmar dethrones the defending champion Eagles in an all-Gwinnett final.

Berkmar High of Lilburn has ended the reign of Collins Hill's boys soccer team as large-school state champion.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Kofi Twumasi and Awey Houry scored second-half goals Saturday, leading the Patriots to a 2-0 upset at Kennesaw State.

It’s the first state title for Berkmar soccer. Collins Hill of Suwanee was making its sixth straight appearance in the title game.

Twumasi scored to put the Patriots ahead 1-0 two minutes into the second half. Houry added a goal at the 15-minute mark.
