UGA's SEC Opener To Be on ESPN2

The Bulldogs open SEC play Sept. 8 at new league member Missouri. Here's the complete SEC TV schedule.

SEC football fans have to wait no longer for their favorite sport. The University of Georgia Bulldogs and other league members open the 2012 season Saturday, Sept. 1.

UGA, the defending SEC East champion, hosts Buffalo at Sanford Stadium at 12 noon.

However, things really heat up on Sept. 8, when the 'Dogs travel to new SEC member Missouri. That game will be on ESPN2, starting at 7:45 p.m.

As you might expect, ESPN and CBS will be carrying many SEC games during 2012. Beyond Sept. 15, few game times currently are determined. Obviously, the networks want to juggle games and start times according to importance.

However, a notable exception: Alabama at LSU is set for Nov. 3, 8 p.m. (CBS). Those are two of the nation's top-ranked teams, and the Crimson Tide is the defending national champion.
