Globetrotters Coming to Gwinnett

The Harlem Globetrotters will demonstrate their legendary basketball skills in a show at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at the in Duluth. 

Angie Doerlich, founder of Hugs for Soldiers, announced that the show is a fundraiser for the Duluth-based organization. A portion of each ticket sold will go to Hugs for Soldiers to fund care packages for U.S. troops serving overseas and for shipping expenses.

“Tickets will be offered at an exclusive discount price of $17, which is a savings up to $19 per ticket to everyone who purchases tickets on behalf of Hugs for Soldiers,” Doerlich said. This ticket price applies to seats that are regularly $36-$26 (three price levels). The $36 seats will be filled first, then the seats that are regularly $30 and so on, she said.

All orders will be entered into a drawing for a Harlem Globetrotters autographed basketball.

$15 tickets to a pre-show event from 12:30-1 p.m. are also available. Pre-show attendees will have opportunities to meet the Globetrotters, get their autographs, and pose with Globie the mascot.

The Harlem Globetrotters Sales Office is also offering the discounted tickets to Girl Scouts when ordered on behalf of Hugs for Soldiers. The $17 tickets include a Globetrotters patch and a pre-game meet and greet with Fatima “TNT” Maddox, the first female Globetrotters player in 19 years and only the ninth in team history. This applies to the first 50 Girl Scouts to purchase tickets.
