Gwinnett Braves Back in First

Durham falls in series opener.

The Gwinnett Braves regained the lead in the International League South on Saturday by scoring four runs in the first inning en route to a 4-1 victory at Durham, N.C.

Pitcher Yohan Flande allowed five hits in six innings to earn the win for Gwinnett. Brandon Hicks was 1-for-4 with an RBI for the G-Braves.

The teams play Game 2 of the four-game, home-and-home series Sunday (6:35 p.m.) in Durham. The teams then move to Coolray Field in Lawrenceville for a July 4 game.
