Gwinnett Braves Beat Charlotte

G-Braves remain tied for first in their division.

The Gwinnett Braves got home runs from Brandon Hicks and Chris Carter on Wednesday and went on to a 4-1 victory over the Charlotte Knights in Charlotte, N.C.

Pitcher Julio Teheran struck out seven Charlotte batters in five innings but did not factor in the decision. Jairo Asencio earned his 11th save of the year.

The G-Braves (47-39) remain tied with Durham for first place in the International Leaue South. Gwinnett takes on Charlotte again Thursday (7:05) before returning to Coolray Field on Friday.
