Gwinnett Braves Fall Into Second Place

Lehigh Valley coasts, 10-1. Tempers flare as G-Braves manager, pitcher are ejected.

The Gwinnett Braves lost for the fifth time in six games Tuesday, as Lehigh Valley took a 10-1 victory in Allentown, Pa. The loss dropped Gwinnett into second place in the IL South, a half-game behind Charlotte.

Tempers flared in the fourth inning, after Lehigh Valley's Domonic Brown hit his second homer of the game to give his team a 7-0 lead. Gwinnett pitcher Todd Redmond hit the next batter, which prompted both benches to empty. Redmond and G-Braves manager Dave Brundage were ejected, as a warning to both teams already had been issued.

Redmond allowed nine hits and seven runs in 3.2 innings.
