Gwinnett Braves Head Home in First-Place Tie

Pitcher Cordier hit hard by Durham.

The Durham Bulls roughed up Gwinnett Braves starter Erik Cordier in a 7-4 victory Sunday in Durham, N.C. The teams now head for Coolray Field in a first-place tie in the International League South.

Cordier (2-5) allowed six runs in less than three innings. For the G-Braves, Mauro Gomez was 2-for-4 with a home run, and Brandon Hicks was also 2-for-4 with an HR.

The G-Braves host Durham on Monday at 7:05 p.m. A fireworks show will follow the game.
