Gwinnett Braves Win Fifth Straight

Durham falls again.

The Gwinnett Braves remained perfect at home in 2012 with a 12-7 victory over Durham on Friday at Coolray Field.

Christian Marrero went 3-for-4 with three RBI for Gwinnett. Jose Constanza had a triple as Gwinnett scored six runs in the third inning to break the game open.

Eric Junge (1-1) struggled but got the win for the G-Braves, allowing four hits and two runs in the second.

The teams play again Saturday (7:05 p.m.) at Coolray.
