Maynard 'Ready for Down Time' After Reaching Summit of Kilimanjaro

The Suwanee resident who was born without complete limbs gives a television interview after arriving in the area Thursday.

Now it's back to civilization for Kyle Maynard of Suwanee.

"I've got some major X-Box to catch up on," Maynard said Friday morning in an interview on 11Alive News out of Atlanta.

Maynard, who attended Collins Hill High, and other team members reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania earlier this month after a 10-day climb. A motivational speaker, Maynard's effort was in part to inspire others, particularly military veterans re-entering civilian life.
