North Gwinnett No. 7 in New AAAAA Football Poll

McEachern takes over top spot after beating Lowndes.

North Gwinnett's easy 35-17 victory Saturday over St. Augustine (Fl.) moved the Bulldogs of Suwanee up in the newest AAAAA football poll.

The Bulldogs of Coach Bob Sphire are now No. 7 in the poll done by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. They are the only Suwanee team in the top 10; Grayson (2-0) at No. 3 and Norcross (2-0) at No. 10 are Gwinnett's other top 10 representatives.

The new No. 1 team, McEachern, handed North Gwinnett its only loss in the season opener in the Corky Kell Classic. McEachern defeated Lowndes, the previous No. 1 team, last weekend 20-13.
