Revamped Kell Classic To Include North Gwinnett in 2014

There will be new teams and a new format next season.

North Gwinnett's football season came to an end Saturday night in the Georgia Dome. And it will open in a similar fashion in 2014.

North Gwinnett, which lost to Gwinnett rival Norcross in the 6A title game, will take on Colquitt County in the annual Corky Kell event in the Georgia Dome on Aug. 23, 2014, according to website information.

Also noteworthy is the fact that the Kell event is expanding to two days next year. Two games will be played on Friday, Aug. 22, at McEachern High. Four games will take place at the Georgia Dome on Aug. 23.

Norcross also will be in the 2014 Kell event, as will Gwinnett teams Mill Creek, Archer and Brookwood.

For more information, check the Kell website.
