Suwanee's Maynard Wins ESPY

The Collins Hill High grad takes the ESPN honor for a second time.

Kyle Maynard, the Suwanee resident who climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Kenya this year, has been honored again for the feat.

The Collins Hill High grad won an ESPY award Wednesday from ESPN for his feat. Maynard was honored as Best Male Athlete With a Disability. He was born without complete arms or legs.

"WE JUST WON THE ESPY!!!!!! Thank you so much!!! You helped make it happen!!!," Maynard posted Wednesday on his Twitter account after winning. The show originated in Los Angeles.

Maynard and a team reached the peak of Kilimanjaro, the tallest peak in Africa at more than 19,000 feet. It is his second ESPY.
