Are you ready for another round of picks?

at Norcross: If you have wanted to go to a high school football game this season, but just haven’t gotten around to it, THIS IS THE ONE TO ATTEND.

The game of the year in Region 7-AAAAA matches two of the state’s hottest teams. North Gwinnett (4-1) has won four in a row since a season-opening loss. The Blue Devils are undefeated at 5-0. Both teams are 2-0, have great coaching (Bob Sphire, North Gwinnett; Keith Maloof, Norcross), productive quarterbacks (Scott Hosch, North; Joseph Wilber, Norcross) and prolific offenses (North averages 39.8 points per game; Norcross 39).

Defense and big plays will be the difference in this one. The winner grabs an inside track to the region championship, but both are virtually assured of playing in the postseason. Norcross 35, North Gwinnett 34.

at : This is an interesting matchup of Suwanee teams that are both talented enough to make the playoffs. Peachtree Ridge (4-1, 2-0 Region 7-AAAAA) is in a three-way tie with North Gwinnett and Norcross for first place in the region, and can take an important step with a win this week if it wants to challenge for the region title. Collins Hill (2-3, 1-1) put its best game together in last week’s 35-13 win over Duluth. The Eagles can pull off the upset at home, but the Lions, winners of four straight, are on a hot streak. Peachtree Ridge 28, Collins Hill 24.
