Who Will Suwanee Teams Face in Football Playoffs?

Three teams tie for Region 7-AAAAAA title. Playoffs begin next week.

Suwanee's high school football teams now know their first-round playoff matchups, after there was a three-way tie for the regular-season 7-AAAAAA title.

Collins Hill will play in Suwanee against Walton next Friday, and North Gwinnett will be on the road against Milton.

Peachtree Ridge, the region's No. 4 seed, will travel to Lassiter.

Collins Hill earned the No. 2 seed by virtue of its regular-season victory over North Gwinnett, which gets the No. 3 seed.

Norcross earned the No. 1 seed. The seedings were determined by a coin toss involving all three teams, after Friday night's games were over.

Norcross, Collins Hill and North Gwinnett all finished with 7-1 region records. Since each went 1-1 against the other, a coin toss was held in Suwanee late Friday with the region secretary and the team's head coaches.

Each team flipped a coin, and Norcross was the only one to flip tails. Odd man out wins, according to ajc.com.

The GHSA playoff bracket is here.
