6 New Projects Added to Gwinnett DOT Road Closures List

This week's road closures report from the Gwinnett County Department of Transportation (for Nov. 2-8).

• Arcado Road at Killian Hill Road will close to through traffic November 9 and November 10 for utility work, weather permitting. The detour route will be Killian Hill Road to Louis Road to North River Drive to Arcado Road and the reverse. Any such closures will be between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm.
• Tug Drive south of the intersection with Sugarcreek Court will close November 11 for a few weeks for drainage improvements, weather permitting.  The detour route will be Tug Drive to Rockbridge Road to Williams Road and the reverse. Lawrenceville

• Cruse Road from Sugarloaf Parkway to Old Norcross Road will require intermittent lane closures through April 2014 for sidewalk installation, weather permitting. Any such closure will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Sunny Hill Road from Lena Carter Road and SR 324/Gravel Springs Road will close Monday, November 4 for additional repairs from 8:30am to 3:00pm. The detour route will be Sunny Hill Road to SR 324/Gravel Springs Road to SR 124/Braselton Highway to Old Peachtree Road to Sunny Hill Road and the reverse.  For further information, you may contact Department of Water Resources  at 678.376.7000.

Norcross

• SR 378/Beaver Ruin Road eastbound from I-85 to Shackleford Road will require intermittent lane closures through mid-November for operational improvements, weather permitting.  Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.

Peachtree Corners

• SR 141 from Woodhill Drive to Holcomb Bridge Road will require intermittent lane closures through February 2014 for sidewalk installation, weather permitting. Any such closure will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.

Removed from the list: 

• Buford: Old Thompson Mill Road 2000 feet west of the intersection with Hosch Valley Road will close through October for drainage improvements, weather permitting. The detour will be Old Thompson Mill Road to North Puckett Road to Thompson Mill Road to Hosch Valley Road and the reverse.
