Gwinnett, Get Ready for Freeze Watch

The National Weather Service tells of cold(er) conditions later this week.

That frost that showed up in Suwanee on Thursday morning won't be the end of the cold weather this week.

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze watch -- yes, a freeze watch  -- for later this week. The watch covers Gwinnett County and surrounding areas.

The alert says temperatures could dip into the 20s on Friday night (Oct. 25) and into Saturday morning:

A FREEZE WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR A FREEZE EVENT IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA. THOSE WITH AGRICULTURAL INTERESTS IN THE WATCH AREA SHOULD MAKE PREPARATIONS TO PROTECT SENSITIVE VEGETATION AND YOUNG TREES.

Patch will have updates on weather conditions.
