Snow Flurries Spotted in Gwinnett

Sub-freezing temperatures were the norm at mid-morning Monday. Share your observations.

It's a long way from a blizzard, or even accumulation. But some people observed snow flurries falling Monday morning (Jan. 6)Β in Gwinnett County.

"Got quite a few in sugar hill just now," a Duluth Patch commenter said at mid-morning Monday.

Other Patch Facebook commenters noted snowflakes in Suwanee, Berkeley Hills Country Club (in Duluth) and along Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.

Snow flurries were forecast Monday for the Gwinnett area, and as of 11 a.m., temperatures were still below 30 degrees in the area.

Still undetermined is whether Gwinnett County Public Schools will resume classes Tuesday (Jan. 7) as scheduled. That decision could well be made in the early morning hours Tuesday.
