Will It Snow in Suwanee Soon?

A Winter Storm Watch and travel advisory has been issued.

The severe winter weather will not let up soon in Suwanee and Gwinnett.

According to the National Weather Service, snow and other frozen precipitation is possible in the area, beginning as soon as Tuesday (Jan. 28). Up to 2 inches in accumulation is possible.

The Winter Storm Watch, which goes into effect Tuesday at 10 a.m., also mentions the possibility of sleet and ice. There's a travel warning:

MAKE CONTINGENCY PLANS IF YOU PLAN ON TRAVELING DURING THIS PERIOD. IF YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR TRAVEL...DO SO BEFORE THE EVENT STARTS.

The watch says that there is a "potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulations" that may affect travel. "Be sure to buy non-perishable foods," the notice adds.

The latest Winter Storm Watch extends through Wednesday afternoon.
