Ceremony in Town Center; High School Football

A look at the week ahead in Suwanee.

Another week begins in Suwanee, and this one has no holiday. Here are some highlights to place on your calendar:

 9/11 ARTIFACT CEREMONY: The City of Suwanee will hold an event on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 7:30 p.m., in Town Center Park to dedicate the permanent display for Remembrance, an artifact from the 2001 terrorist attacks in New York.

CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP: Suwanee's elected leaders will hold a work session Thursday, 5:30 p.m., at City Hall. Official business will not be voted on there.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: North Gwinnett, the state's top-ranked team, will travel to region rival Norcross on Friday.

MORE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Peachtree Ridge, ranked No. 9 in the state, will host nearby rival Duluth on Friday.

AND MORE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Collins Hill, also unbeaten, will host Habersham Central.
