GOP voters give a slight "yes" to the question of casino gambling with funds going to education.

Updated 5:39 p.m., Aug. 1 Voters on Tuesday (July 31) gave a slight edge to a casino gambling question on the Republican ballot in the 2012 primary election. On the GOP question of whether to support casino gambling "with funds going to education," the results were 50.2 percent "yes," 49.7 percent "no." How did you vote on the casino gambling questions? Casino Gambling Question on Gwinnett Primary Ballots

Voters from both parties have the opportunity to express whether casino gambling should be allowed.

"Should Georgia have casino gambling with funds going to education?" That question is on the Republican primary ballot, so that "red" voters can say either yea or nay. And a similar option is on the Democratic ballot. "Would you support Casino gambling in Gwinnett County?" Neither of the ballot questions are binding upon state or local lawmakers.
