WITH VIDEO: Atlanta Falcons Bring Friday Night Lights Back to Gwinnett

Over 12,000 fans watch the NFL team complete a workout, drill session, and scrimmage at Peachtree Ridge High School.

Updated 8:36 a.m., Aug 4. The Atlanta Falcons continued their popular annual "Friday Night Lights" scrimmage series at Peachtree Ridge High School in Gwinnett County on Friday, Aug. 3. The event is an extension of the Falcons preseason training camp, and 2012 marked the fifth consecutive year the Falcons have given their fans an up-close look of the team at a high school venue in Gwinnett County. Previous scrimmages were held at Norcross High in 2011, North Gwinnett High in 2010, Brookwood High School in 2009 and Mill Creek High in 2008. -- Have you attended a Friday Night Lights scrimmage in Gwinnett? Atlanta Falcons Bring Annual Scrimmage to Suwanee on Aug. 3

The Friday Night Lights event will be at Peachtree Ridge High.

A tradition for the Atlanta Falcons and for Gwinnett County will renew Friday (Aug. 3), when the NFL team holds its annual Friday Night Lights scrimmage at Peachtree Ridge High in Suwanee. Gates open at 6 p.m., with the Falcons taking the field at 6:45 p.m., according to a Falcons news release. Previously, the team has held the scrimmage at Norcross High, North Gwinnett High, Brookwood High and Mill Creek High. Now, it's Suwanee's turn. According to the Falcons' website, the event includes a fan fest with interactive inflatable games, a post event autograph session, and a fireworks show. The Atlanta Falcons will hold their annual Friday Night Lights preseason scrimmage at Peachtree Ridge High on Aug. 3, the team has announced. Falcons' Gwinnett Scrimmage Shortened by Lightning

Friday Night Lights gave way to Friday Night lightning, as Atlanta Falcons fans gathered at Norcross High to see their beloved NFL team return to action.

NFL fans hungry for action got only an appetizer Friday when their beloved Atlanta Falcons took the field for their annual Friday Night Lights scrimmage at Norcross High School. Coach Mike Smith's team went through their stretching exercises and any number of individual and team drills, much as they would any practice day session at their Flowery Branch facility. That lasted for about an hour. Then the two teams squared off in what fans had really come to see, an 11 on 11 scrimmage. Both the Red and White squads got in one offensive series before the Falcons found the explosion they say they've been looking for. Unfortunately, it was up in the sky, not on the gridiron. Falcons To Scrimmage in Gwinnett on Friday

The popular 'Friday Night Lights' series continues when the Atlanta Falcons make the trip from Flowery Branch to Norcross High for a full-scale scrimmage Aug. 5.

Are you ready for some football? If not, maybe the Atlanta Falcons' scrimmage at Norcross High School next Friday night, Aug. 5, will get you pumped. The price of admission is certainly enough to get everyone excited. It's free! Now that NFL players and owners have settled their labor dispute and Commissioner Roger Goodell has declared that "football is back," Coach Mike Smith will bring his Falcons to Norcross High stadium for Kia Motors "Friday Night Lights."
