The weekly Gwinnett County road closure report from the Gwinnett DOT (for May 11-17). The Gwinnett Department of Transportation says work associated with the construction of Pleasant Hill Road's diverging diamon interchange will require nightly lane closures. The lane closures should occur for three weeks, starting Sunday, May 12. Closures are expected between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. One other construction project was added to this week's list of lane closures: Lawrenceville Two others were removed: Buford: Camp Branch Road from Kilgore Road to Wallace Road, which saw culvert improvements. Lilburn: Baltimore Avenue from Village Creek Drive intersection, which had drainage improvements.

Six road projects, three of which are in Lawrenceville, has been added to this week's report: Buford Duluth Lawrenceville Snellville This project was removed from the list: Duluth: Sidney Lanier Boulevard at Pleasant Hill Road, which had lane closures throughout April. Added to this week's report: Lee Road east of Anderson Livsey Road will close March 19 through early April for culvert replacement, weather permitting. The latest (sent via email): "Intermittent lane closures and up to three lanes of traffic shifts will take place on I-85 at Pleasant Hill Road from March 1 to approximately March 22, weather permitting. Pleasant Hill Road from Breckinridge Boulevard/Shackleford Road to Venture Parkway will continue to require intermittent lane closures and traffic shifts through September 2013. "Lane closures on I-85 will take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, 8 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday and 8 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday. Here's the situation in the county for February 16-22, 2013.
The following information is courtesy of the Gwinnett Transportation Department. · Alcovy Road from Campbell Road to West Drowning Creek Road will require intermittent lane closure through March for roadway improvements associated with Sugarloaf Parkway extension, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm. · Camp Branch Road from Kilgore Road to Wallace Road will close on January 28 for approximately two months for culvert improvements. The detour route will be Camp Branch Road to Hamilton Mill Road to Wallace Road to Camp Branch Road and the reverse.
