Missing Johns Creek Teen Returns Home

Aftab Aslam, reported to be kidnapped, told investigators he left on his own.

A Johns Creek man, 19, originally reported to be kidnapped April 27 returned to his Morton Crossing home unharmed Sunday evening (May 5) around 9. Aftab Aslam told investigators he left on his own. Aslam was reported missing about 10 a.m. on April 27 from his parents’ home. They received an early morning text saying the 19-year-old was kidnapped. Investigators from Johns Creek, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation discovered that Aslam had bought the cell phone that sent the text, and that no one else had handled the phone. Aslam told police he left home for personal reasons. Investigators are verifying his account, and charges have not been filed yet.

Police, FBI Seek Missing Johns Creek Teen

Three law enforcement agencies have been searching for a 19-year-old Johns Creek man since last Saturday; now they're asking for help from the public in finding him. Aftab M. Aslam, who is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 165 pounds and has medium-length black hair, was first reported as being kidnapped on April 27 at 10 a.m. Johns Creek Police responded to his Morton Crossing address, where officers were told he was missing from his home. Missing Johns Creek Teens Found Unharmed

--- Update, Friday, Nov. 2, 3:10 p.m.: According to the Johns Creek Police Department, missing Johns Creek teens Sean Mooney and Fea Raizes have been found unharmed in Savannah. Update, Friday, Nov. 2, 11 a.m.: Johns Creek Police are still seeking the whereabouts of two teen residents, Sean Anthony Mooney and Fea Rose Raizes, who a family member says may now be in the Savannah area. According to the police department, as of Thursday evening, Nov. 1, officers had no word on their whereabouts, and no reported sightings. Meanwhile, a family member of one of the teens told Patch she had information indicating they may be in the Savannah area. Johns Creek Police are seeking the public's help in locating two missing teens. Sean Anthony Mooney (W/M, DOB 8/5/96, 6’0, 170 lbs., blue eyes, brown hair) and Fea Rose Raizes (B/F, DOB 11-10-95, 5’5”, 150 lbs., brown hair, brown eyes), both Johns Creek residents, are reported missing. Mooney is believed to be traveling in a navy blue, 2005 Acura TL (GA Tag# 2289 AJC (Gwinnett) (similar to car in attached photo). He was last seen by his father on Oct. 26 shortly before 1 p.m. He may possibly be in the Little Five Points area of Atlanta, and may also be in the company of Raizes. Suwanee Business Alliance Ventures Into New Turf

The business networking group will hold a joint meeting in Johns Creek.

The Suwanee Business Alliance, the city's leading networking group, will hold its first joint meeting Tuesday. The SBA will hold a networking event with the Johns Creek Business Association at St. Marlo Country Club. Ed Szczesniak, president of the SBA, notes that the SBA discussed the idea in a couple of board meetings and it "just evolved over several months." It helps that McGinnis Ferry Road is easier to navigate from recent construction. The idea, of course, is to help members grow their businesses and contacts. The Suwanee group has more than 200 members and holds monthly networking events at member businesses. The SBA also puts on an annual golf tournament to raise funds for charity. Updated Tuesday, May 29, 6:12 PM The Johns Creek Police Department has located Angela Pulliam-Salay, a Johns Creek resident reported missing over the weekend, and has confirmed that she is safe, according to Johns Creek Patch. "The JCPD’s search for her is now officially ended," the department said in a statement. "We anticipate no further updates." Her family told police that she was last seen leaving her residence on Sunday, May 27.

Social Media's Role in Missing Johns Creek Teen Case

Police Seek Missing Johns Creek Mother, Child

JCPD, GBI investigating disappearance of Lachella and Alexander Chapman.

The Johns Creek Police Department, in conjunction with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, is actively seeking the whereabouts of Lachella Marie Chapman and her 2-year-old son, Alexander Chapman.  The two have been missing since Aug. 26 from Windbrooke Way in Johns Creek. Chapman’s mother reported the two missing after repeated attempts to contact them and finding the residence abandoned. Family and friends have told police that it is not like Chapman to leave with her whereabouts unknown. Authorities are concerned for the well-being of the missing child. Chapman is possibly driving a white 2007 Dodge Nitro, Georgia tag BKT 7962. She has ties in both Michigan and Washington state.  Authorities in those areas are working with Georgia law …

Stricker's Record Tying 63 Takes PGA Lead

Wisconsin native comes near record in first round at Johns Creek.

Steve Stricker is a step closer to filling the only hole remaining in his impressive career resume. The self-effacing man from Wisconsin honed in on his first major championship Thursday, tying a PGA Championship record by shooting 63 in the first round to take the first-round lead at the Atlanta Athletic Club. Stricker shot a 7-under 63, becoming the 11thplayer in tournament history to match that score.
