Suwanee Patch has been around for over two years. It's designed for you to use; are you taking advantage of the full potential of the site?
What is Patch? Simply put, Patch is an innovative way to find out about, and participate in, what's going on near you in Suwanee and the surrounding area. We're a community-specific news, information and engagement site, and we provide a way for neighbors to connect with each other, their communities, and the national conversation. What can you do on Patch? We hope that our sites will strengthen communities and improve the lives of their residents, but we can't do it without you. We've built Suwanee Patch so that you have plenty of opportunities to comment on stories, share your opinions, post photos and announcements, and add events to the community calendar. We look forward to meeting you and hearing your stories. Questions? Email steve.…

Employees help out, and you can, too.
It's been said it's far better to have a neighbor who's near than a brother who's far away, but in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Americans across the nation have proven to be the best neighbors and the strongest of families. This past weekend, AOL and Patch employees took an opportunity to pitch in, packing two tractor trailers worth of food, water and supplies in Dulles, VA, and Baltimore. The donations are headed to Hurricane Sandy ravaged areas in New Jersey and Long Island. Want to join the relief efforts? Click here to donate: https://donate.networkforgood.org/aol "When a catastrophe of this size hits, we all feel it, both the hundreds of us who live in the impacted towns, and our colleagues who are watching and wishing they could help…

On Sunday (Sept. 23), Patch launched a redesigned platform on five of its New York sites. The sites -- Bellmore, Garden City, Levittown, Long Beach and Merrick -- give Patch users a look at a test design that should go nationwide early next year. The biggest change is the addition of "Groups" -- topic-specific news feeds that let Patch users choose the updates they receive on the customizable homepage. Groups now organize all news, content and information on the new site. By following or unfollowing different groups, users can make the daily experience of taking in the news more relevant to their everyday lives. (Click here for a video tour of the "Groups" feature). Group members can post their own content or just talk about news happening…

News agencies are changing their operations based on evolving consumer uses of digital technology.
