Many, many years ago, we got to my grandmother's house early enough one Thanksgiving for me to see her make the dressing for our Thanksgiving dinner. I watched and learned. As far as I know, she never wrote it down anywhere and I never had either, until I got ready to write this article. You see, there are quite a few things I make by eyeballing ingredients. Some things I add until the recipe looks right, some things until it tastes right and some things until it smells right. Add Target to Thanksgiving 'Black Friday' List

The retailer announces that it will open at 9 p.m. on November 22. Walmart already had planned to open at 8 p.m.

It won't be hard to find a place to shop on Thanksgiving night in 2012. Target has announced that it will open at 9 p.m. on November 22 so shoppers can get a head start on Black Friday deals. “We thought long and hard about when the right opening time would be,” Target executive Kathee Tesija said in an Associated Press report. Walmart, the nation's largest retailer, already had announced that it will open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Target plans to offer deals that include an Apex 32-inch LCD TV for $147 and a Nikon digital camera for $99.99 for the earlier opening, according to the report. From 4:00 a.m. to noon on November 23, customers who spend $50 or more on clothing, accessories or home products will earn a $10 Target gift card to …

Thanksgiving Travel Expected to Increase

  It's so easy to get bogged down by the negative in life. We wake up in the morning and face a day of challenges. A minute or two of the snooze button means that we will have to rush to get ready for the day. A little bit of rain almost guarantees the commute will be longer. It is easy to become frustrated and to forget what we have to be thankful for. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, many children are working on projects where they have to think about what their blessings are in life.
