Again, it took a village to have Christmas In The Park 2012 in Suwanee. Exactly how may people participated in the two-day event is not known, but estimates are that about 3,700 people took in the exhibits, performers and music on Friday and Saturday in Town Center Park. Cups of hot chocolate dispensed gave the unofficial count, according to Shadowbrook Pastor Bobby Linkous. Some people had none, but some people had more than one, so ... 'Tis the Christmas Season in Suwanee

Christmas In The Park has a two-day run in Town Center Park.

The past came alive again in Suwanee during Christmas In The Park 2012. Shadowbrook Baptist Church again put on its two-day production Friday and Saturday in Town Center Park. Holidays in Suwanee

Christmas In The Park 2011

A video and photo look at the celebration, Suwanee style.

Ebenezer Scrooge was nowhere in sight in Suwanee last weekend. Plenty of other Christmas revelers were, though as Shadowbrook Baptist Church put on its annual holiday event, Christmas In The Park, on Friday and Saturday. As usual, Dickens-era costumes and displays were common, and there were attractions such as train rides, the Starry Night Theater (which featured a nativity event), and other activities. So Viewfinder recaptures the event, and it will be there for you to enjoy the rest of the holiday spirit. As Tiny Tim would say, " ... Bless us every one." Text and video by Steve Burns. Suwanee 2011 Events: Music, Parks and Prayer

The city's calendar includes new faces, such as the Little River Band, and returning favorites.

A spring concert by the Little River Band, a balloon festival and events with religious themes are among the happenings scheduled in Suwanee this year. The Little River Band, which had several Top 40 hits in the '70s and tours actively now, will be the headliner for Atlanta's Greatest Hits Birthday Bash on April 16. The band, whose hits include "Lonesome Loser" and "Cool Change," is scheduled to perform about 7 p.m. at Town Center Park. The city is proud of its parks and greenspace, and a Progressive Parks Party is planned for November to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the $17 million bond issue that funded construction of many of the city's parks. City information officer Lynne DeWilde said the event likely will include varied …
