Police say Larrie Elatrice Wilkerson, 61, died on impact after she hit a pole Tuesday in Lilburn. The car also caught on fire.
This article orginated on Lilburn-Mountain Park Patch Local police have identified the driver who died in a fiery one-car accident that took place Tuesday (April 23) in Lilburn. The victim was Larrie Elatrice Wilkerson, 61, of Norcross, according to Lilburn Police. Wilkerson’s red 2000 Ford Explorer crashed into a pole at the intersection of Indian Trail Road and Lawrenceville Highway around 3:40 p.m. The car immediately caught on fire. According to the Gwinnett County Medical Examiner’s Office, Wilkerson died on impact and before the car became engulfed in flames. The cause of the accident has been determined as driver error, said Lilburn Police Chief Bruce Hedley. The accident report states that Wilkerson was traveling west on …

Ron Burgundy Stays Classy at the Northside Tavern As you might well know, “Anchorman 2” is currently filming in Atlanta and the cast and crew has been spotted at several locales in and around Midtown and Inman Park in recent days. On Friday, filming was taking place at the Silver Skillet on 14th Street. When the cameras weren’t rolling, the film’s star, Will Ferrell, was staying classy at the nearby Northside Tavern on Howell Mill Road. Man Injured in Downtown Train Crash - Douglasville Patch One man was injured and taken to Atlanta Medical after apparently attempting to drive around the warning signal cross bar and over the train tracks in downtown Douglasville Thursday morning, according to Capt. D. Shaw, Douglasville Police Department. The man had no visible injuries but was complaining about his left leg, Shaw said. The train appeared to be undamaged.
