On the article Who's to Blame for the IRS Singling out Conservative Groups Seeking Tax-Exempt Status?

ReplyFrank you made these points and I question them:
2. The chief political appointee during the time period in question was a Republican appointee by none other than GWB.
(GWB's appointed that individual based on his performance not party loyalty and in fact that individual supported Barrack Obama in the elections)3. Of the 298 cases reviewed by the IRS inspector general, only 96 included the conservative buzz words of "tea party", "9/12" or "patriot"...that's less than a third. Two-thirds of the cases were selected for other reasons.
(How many of the other "two thirds" were groups that are political in nature)4. The IRS is charged with granting 501(c)4 status to appropriate organizations. With limited funding & staffing, profiling is a shortcut...How many of you would support profiling of Hispanics and Arabs? (Be honest!)
(And the profiling they were doing were for groups that oppose the policies of this administration. This is illegal.) -

ReplyI still have a significant amount of research to do here, but whenever I hear a liberal complain that a conservative is too extreme, that's a plus in my view!

ReplyI agree with some of the previous comments regarding his status as a naturalized US citizen. If it turns out that he was part of a larger cell or had foreign ties that guided him in this, then citizenship should be revoked and he should be tried as an unlawful enemy combatant. Either way his citizenship should be revoked and this should be a death penalty case.

ReplyIt would life lesson for everyone to learn to get along. This will require both sides to act like adults and to compromise and to respect the differences between us. I am quite surprised that in 2013 we are still talking about segregation.

On the article Is It Time for Banks to Ease Up on Credit Restrictions?

I believe you are referring to the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). My understanding of this was that banks were indeed forced to make loans to individuals who, though they were not credit worthy, were portrayed as having been the victims of "discrimination". Unfortunately the result was under performing mortgages which became one of the root causes of the 2008 financial crisis. The thanks for this boondoggle goes to both the Carter and Clinton administrations!!!

Thom71GT you are spot on. This President thinks he is the King. This country will be better off when he leaves office.
GGY, your President isn't half the man the man that GWB was. Despite GWB's faults he always put this country first!

ReplyI believe the Second Amendment is quite clear and gun ownership is a right. If you want to reduce the possibility of another Sandy Hook then the NRA is correct, you need a good guy armed with a gun.

Unless the tag indicated that the pants were from Walmart, I would side with the man in this case. However when the Police are the ones doing the asking, cooperation is required. After that a huge apology from Walmart is in order!!
