Suwanee has been named as one of the nation's top 10 places for families by Family Circle magazine.
Family Circle rated the town as No. 10, according to the city's website. The story is featured in the August issue of the magazine, which comes July 2.
"We're thrilled and proud," Suwanee Mayor Jimmy Burnette said on the city's website. "Through our bi-annual National Citizens Survey, we know that 99% of our residents find Suwanee to be an excellent or good place to live.

"For Family Circle to confirm and share Suwanee's high quality of life on a national scale is really rewarding."
Family Circle used demographic data and family friendly criteria, including affordable homes, quality schools, access to health care and green space to determine the top 10.

Suwanee was the smallest community -- and the only one in Gwinnett -- to be included in the Family Circle list.
Suwanee has been ranked as a best place for families by other organizations, including Money magazine and Kiplinger.com.
