Beer Festival Making Plans for 2014 in Suwanee

The event is becoming a regular part of the Suwanee events scene.

The events calendar for 2014 in Suwanee is still taking shape, but one regular entry from the past few years is making plans.

According to a recent news release, the fourth annual American Craft Beer Festival will set up again in Town Center Park on Saturday, March 15 -- the weekend preceding St. Patrick's Day. Hours will be 1-5 p.m. for general admission patrons.

The lineup in 2014 will feature about 250 craft beers, with some breweries featuring not-yet-released or seasonal brews, and the VIP tent holding casks brewed exclusively for the festival, the release said.

Also live music and food vendors will be part of the scene.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, Feb. 7, at noon at suwaneebeerfest.com. Tickets are $35 for general admission and $85 for VIP patrons.

General admission ticket-holders receive an unlimited tasting of the featured beers, a commemorative tasting glass, and access to vendors and the live entertainment.

Organizers of the festival again will donate a portion of proceeds to Kingdom Kids, a Suwanee-area nonprofit that grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses.

Veugeler Design Group of Buford is again the organizer; the same company publishes Suwanee Magazine.
