Which Suwanee Teams Won in Round 2 of Playoffs?

The GHSA football playoffs complete the second round.

The Georgia High School Association football playoffs will move into the quarterfinals next week, and two Suwanee teams are still alive.

North Gwinnett and Collins Hill won Friday (Nov. 22) to advance to the quarterfinals. However, Peachtree Ridge lost Friday and was eliminated.

Highlights and next week's matchups:

  • NORTH GWINNETT 34, ARCHER 32: Michael D'Angola's late 27-yard field goal won for North over its Gwinnett rival. Next week: North (No. 3 seed) will play at Hillgrove (No. 4 seed).
  • COLLINS HILL 48, ALPHARETTA 0: The Eagles' defense forced Alpharetta to punt on its first five possessions, as the team built a 28-0 halftime lead. Next week: Collins Hill will host McEachern.
  • DACULA 28, PEACHTREE RIDGE 21: The Falcons had two third-quarter touchdowns to overcome the Lions.
For the record, if Collins Hill and North Gwinnett win this Friday, they would meet in the semifinals at Collins Hill. The Eagles are the higher-seeded team for the playoffs.

Material from the Gwinnett Daily Post and ajc.com was used in this report.
