Gwinnett Police Fatally Shoot Man; Relatives Arrested

Thomas and Robert Clark were arrested for disorderly conduct after their relative was shot and killed by Gwinnett Police in Lawrenceville on Thursday evening.

Gwinnett County Police responded to a call of a man attempting commit suicide on Trophy Trail in Lawrenceville on Thursday at around 7:30 pm. Police say the man, James Clark, was armed with a hunting rifle when they arrived at the home. GCPD says they tried to negotiate with Clark, but attempts failed and police were . He was later pronounced dead.

According to WSB-TV, family members arrived to the house shortly after the shooting. Police arrested Clark's father, Thomas Clark of Winder, and brother Robert Clark of Snellville, and charged them both with disorderly conduct. They were admitted to the Gwinnett County Detention Center at about 9:30 pm Thursday.
