'Good Day Atlanta' To Air From Suwanee on Monday

The F0X 5 morning show will broadcast from White Street Park.

White Street Park in Suwanee will add another feature soon: outdoor television studio.

"Good Day Atlanta," the popular weekday morning show on FOX 5, will broadcast from the park Monday, April 16, according to Jessica Roth, assistant to the Suwanee city manager. Roth said Thursday that the show will be live from the park in the 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. hours.

A film crew for the show already has shot footage at the park, featuring Rosalie Tubre of Suwanee, one of the leading volunteers at the park's community garden.

"They loved what they saw," Roth said.

It has been called a "wikipedia of a park" by City Manager Marty Allen, because of the additions that have been made.

Just in the past few weeks, as part of a school project. Also, several volunteers and city officials planted 10 dogwood trees at the rear of the park in March in an Arbor Day event.

The park, located at 752 White Street in Old Town, is best known for Harvest Farm, the community garden. More than 70 individuals and families own plots of various sizes, with all types of plants grown. The garden's success has spurred similar gardens in other cities.
