'American Made Movie' U.S. Tour to Begin in Suwanee and Gwinnett

Gwinnett newsletter publisher Brack will be in Suwanee for the event. The documentary concerns manufacturing in the U.S.

A national bus tour to promote a documentary film about manufacturing will kick off in Suwanee and other Gwinnett cities on Friday (July 5).

According to a news release, the "American Made Movie" tour will begin at Suwanee City Hall on Friday, 11 a.m. Prominent Gwinnett newsletter publisher Elliott Brack will be on hand.

The Gwinnett tour will then proceed to Buford (2 p.m.) and Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, where a screening will take place at 5:30 p.m.

It's part of a tour that plans to be in 32 cities in 32 days, according to the Facebook page. The documentary, which is directed by Dacula High grads Vincent Vittorio and Nathaniel Thomas McGill, will officially debut in August.

Vittorio told the Cleveland Press:

“Through making this movie we learned how every American plays an important role in helping our local and national economy succeed. When you come to understand the people behind the products you buy and how the products you use are made, it will have a greater impact on where your money is spent. The movie focuses on the human element in this topic and shows that it doesn’t matter if you are an entrepreneur, student, stay-at-home mom, or a senior citizen, you have the power to transform America’s future and be a part of the solution by just realizing that there is a relationship between what is made and what you buy every day.”

In Buford, the tour will stop at the Okabashi Brands Factory on Roy Carson Boulevard.
