The Lovin' Spoonful will have a 2012 encore in Suwanee.
The legendary rock band, which performed at Suwanee Day in 2011, will be the headline entertainer for the Amigos for Christ festival at Town Center Park on Saturday, Oct. 6.

It's the second straight year that Amigos for Christ Celebrate Service festival has brought a big-name rock act to Suwanee. In 2011, Atlanta Rhythm Section headlined the event.
The 2012 performance by the Lovin' Spoonful is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
The Spoonful originated in New York in the 1960s. Their top hits include "Summer In The City," "Do You Believe in Magic" and "You Didn't Have To Be So Nice."
This also adds to Suwanee's reputation as a stopping point for notable rock performers. In 2012, Vertical Horizon and The Smithereens have performed on the amphitheater stage.
