The expanding Suwanee restaurant scene expects another new face this year. Dickey's Barbecue Pit plans a Suwanee store, according to a media report.
Nicole and Aaron Michals recently signed a franchise agreement with Dickey's, and will be moving from Pennsylvania to Suwanee to run the restaurant, a Dickey's announcement said.
"Dickey's is the best barbecue franchise out there," Aaron Michals said. "There aren't many barbecue places in the market right now."
"I am excited that we are bringing great barbecue to Suwanee; Aaron and Nicole are going to have a great time. I am excited for them," said Roland Dickey, Jr., president of Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc., in a news release.
It is not known where in Suwanee the Dickey's restaurant will set up shop, or when the exact opening is. Company officials could not be reached for comment.
Dickey's Barbecue Pit opened its first location in Dallas in 1941. Dickey's began franchising in 1994 and has continued to grow across the country. Dickey's currently has more than 200 locations in 36 states nationwide.
According to the Dickey's Facebook page, kids eat free on Sundays and everyone gets free ice cream every day. It also is touting a buy one, get one free offer for pork in March.
