Another lively week has passed in Suwanee. A recap.

Another week that was ... and was it ever ... in and around Suwanee.

Another snow job: The city got another snowstorm, one month after a serious storm shut down government, businesses and schools. This one was good for show only (see attached video), with much of it melted by the next morning.

Police to add Tasers: Suwanee law enforcement will use forfeiture funds to buy eight of the that are used to subdue resistant subjects. Chief Mike Jones noted that it would reduce injuries to officers and that effects on subjects are temporary. Many other agencies in the area already have the devices available. The chief also announced that serious crimes in the city had declined 21 percent in the past two years.

Mayors want transportation authority: The members strongly support a regional transportation authority. The group, which consists of mayors and city officials in the county, wants the state legislature to act on the matter during the current session.

Sports: Pended the regular season by defeating Suwanee rival Collins Hill for the Region 7-AAAAA title and the top seed in the region tournament.

Drowning: In nearby Snellville, a worker took an ill-fated break from work and fell into Norris Lake while kayaking. He could not swim and was not wearing a life jacket. His later in the week by rescue teams.
