Flood Watch Issued for Suwanee, Gwinnett

The National Weather Service has issued the watch for the metro area for Tuesday, January 15.

A stalled front across central Georgia is expected to bring widespread rain to the metro Atlanta area, according to the National Weather Service.

The heavy, steady rain could cause flooding to areas with small streams, rivers and low lying areas to north Georgia. The NWS has issued a flood watch through tonight (Tuesday, Jan. 15).

The rain is expected to diminish on Wednesday, but is expected to increase again on Thursday, which could cause additional flooding to the area.
