Is Presidential Election a Factor in Lower Suwanee Gas Prices?

Suwanee prices are far below the national average, reports say.

It may be near Halloween, but gas prices in Suwanee are anything but scary.

A check of Georgiagasprices.com on Tuesday (October 30) showed that the lowest reported price was $3.26, at a Chevron station on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road.

The national average Tuesday was $3.53, per aaa.com.

Four other Suwanee stations were at or below the $3.31 mark.

Two months ago, prices locally were at the $3.90 mark, a 2012 high.

Of course, it's not just near Halloween, but a week away from the 2012 presidential election, in which the economy is a very strong issue.
