Police: Gwinnett Man Was Swaying, Speech Was Slurred Outside Suwanee Restaurant

The suspect was charged with disorderly conduct under the public intoxication sector.

A Buford man was charged recently with disorderly conduct under the public intoxication sector. According to Gwinnett Police, he was observed urinating in public and staggering outside the Tilted Kilt in Suwanee.

On February 20, a Gwinnett Police officer observed Gerard M. Miller of a Hamilton Park Lane address in Buford "stumbling through the parking lot" of the Tilted Kilt restaurant, located on Satellite Boulevard near I-85.

The police report said Miller's speech was slurred and that he was "extremely unsteady and unable to stand or walk without swaying."

The officer's report noted that Miller phoned his brother to come to the restaurant and pick him up. While waiting on his brother to arrive, Miller said he was going back inside the restaurant to use the bathroom, but the officer would not allow that

The officer noted that Miller "suddenly turned toward the curb in the direction of the Tilted Kilt, took a few steps in that direction and urinated on the curb and in the landscaping area between the lower and upper parking lot."

Miller had a receipt in his pocket for 5 Yuenglings ($23.85), the report noted.
