Suspects Sought in Armed Robbery of Suwanee Man

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.

Gwinnett Police are seeking two suspects in connection with the armed robbery of a Suwanee man after the suspects apparently followed the victim home from his business in another county.

According to Gwinnett Police, on Nov. 16 two suspects went to Zone Electronics at the Pendergrass Flea Market in Pendergrass (Jackson County). The suspects visited the business and spoke with the owner several times over a period of hours. At 5 p.m., the owner closed the store and drove to his home in unincorporated Suwanee.

The victim arrived home and parked in his driveway, but before he was able to leave his vehicle, someone began knocking loudly on the outside. The victim saw a man standing outside his vehicle armed with a shotgun.

The victim immediately recognized the man as one of the two men acting suspiciously in his store earlier in the day, police said. The suspect demanded money, which the victim provided. The suspect was not satisfied with the amount, so he demanded more money and fired a shot into the floorboard of the victim’s vehicle, police said.

The victim provided more cash, and the suspect then fled to a waiting vehicle.

The victim was able to provide photographs of the suspects from a security system in his store (see the attached photos).

Suspect 1 is described as a black male, age 28-35, about 5-foot-7, weighing about 130-150 pounds. Suspect 2 is described as a black male, age 28-35, 5-foot-9 to 6 feet tall, about 160 pounds.

The Pendergrass Flea Market is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case. Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to call GCPD Robbery Unit detectives at 770-513-5300.

To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 404-557-TIPS (8477) or visit www.crimestoppersatlanta.org.  Tipsters are eligible for a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
