Suwanee Police Seek Help With Hit and Run Case

A man is hospitalized but unable to speak of details of the October 26 overnight incident.

Suwanee Police are seeking the public's help in the investigation of a hit-and-run incident that occurred shortly after midnight October 26.

According to a city news release, the incident occurred on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road near Horizon Drive. Responding officers found a man, later identified as Daniel Cochling of Sharpsburg, Ga., who had multiple injuries that were determined to be from being struck by a vehicle.

Cochling is being treated at Gwinnett Medical Center, where his condition is listed as stable. However, officers have been unable to speak with the victim, because of his injuries.

According to police, the vehicle of interest was in the area at the approximate time of the incident. This vehicle is a white or light-colored tractor and trailer. The tractor appears to have a sleeper cab, and the trailer appears to be about 53 feet in length.

Police have several photos of the suspected vehicle from a surveillance video. Note that the vehicle in question is the one in the background of the photos, not the foreground.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area October 26 between approximately midnight and 12:15 a.m. and who may be able to provide information related to the vehicle to contact Suwanee Police at 770-945-8995.
