Turnout still light after two weeks.

Updated Nov. 1, 2011

The turnout picked up somewhat in Week Two of early/absentee voting in the Suwanee municipal election.

After two weeks, 125 people have voted at City Hall, elections supervisor Elvira Rogers said Friday. That includes 57 from the first week, but still represents about 1 percent of the more than 9,700 people on voting rolls in Suwanee.

Voting will continue this week before taking a one-day break on Nov. 7. Then, the regular balloting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8, with all voting done at City Hall. Viotes will be tallied then.

Races are for mayor, two City Council posts (one is unopposed), and a referendum on whether to allow Sunday alcohol sales at retailers in the city limits.
