Gwinnett GOP Convention Is Saturday

The Gwinnett Republican Convention will be held Saturday morning at Collins Hill High in Suwanee. Voting for officers for the 2011-13 term will be on the agenda.

Gov. Nathan Deal and Congressman Rob Woodall reportedly will appear at the event, which begins at 10am. Registration begins at 9.

Also, delegates to the state and district conventions will be selected. 

The following candidates asked to be placed on the ballot at the convention: 

Chairman – Rich Carithers, Bruce LeVell; 1st Vice Chair, Chet Hale; 2nd Vice Chair, Jon Richards; Secretary, Travis Bowden, Tamera Knight; Treasurer, Rose Magoon; Member at Large 1, Scott Haggard; Member at Large 2, Kevin Do; 1st School District Manager, Heather Alvarez; 2nd School District Manager, Brian Donegan, Emily Knight; 3rd School District Manager, Jef Fincher; 4th School District Manager, Paul McDonald; 5th School District Manager, Gloria DiMaggio Tow.
