More I-85 Work This Week

DOT announces lane closures near Suwanee.

Suwanee-area commuters on I-85 will face more lane closures this week, as the state Department of Transportation does more work. The closures begin Monday, March 14, and continue through Friday.

DOT officials have released the following schedule, which stretches as far north as Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road (Exit 111).

Daytime work along the median wall will close the HOV lane in one or two locations in both directions. Work hours northbound are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and southbound work hours are from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m..

 Monday, March 14: From Indian Trail Road to Steve Reynolds Boulevard.

Tuesday, March 15: From Indian Trail Road to Steve Reynolds Boulevard.

Wednesday, March 16: From Indian Trail Road to Steve Reynolds Boulevard; another work zone will begin approximately one mile north, starting at Pleasant Hill Road to SR 316

Thursday, March 17: From Pleasant Hill Road to SR 316; another work zone from one mile south of SR 140/Jimmy Carter Boulevard to one mile south of Indian Trail Road.

Friday, March 18:  From Pleasant Hill Road to SR 316; another work zone from one mile north of Old Peachtree Road to one mile north of SR 317/Lawrenceville Suwanee Road.
