Suwanee Post Office Available for Last Minute Income Tax Filers

It's tax day, and the Postal Service will be ready.

It's April 15, and last-minute income tax filers in 2013 will have a refuge in Suwanee.

The U.S. Postal Service has said the Suwanee Post Office's normal hours (8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.) will be in effect Monday to help last minute tax filers.

According to a news release, the U.S. Postal Service recommends visiting Post Offices early in the day to avoid lines by last-minute tax filers.

Customers should be aware that all mail weighing 13 ounces or more must be presented at the retail counter.

If you are not enclosing a payment, Georgia taxpayers can send most tax forms, including 1040, 1040A and 1040 EZ, to: Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service, Kansas City, MO 64999-0002.

If you are enclosing a payment, send to: Internal Revenue Service, P.O. Box 931000, Louisville, KY 40293- 1000.
