Peachtree Ridge High in Suwanee, which lost a principal to restructuring at the Gwinnett Schools central office, has gained a replacement.
Dr. Jeff Mathews, currently principal at Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology, will take over for Dr. Kevin Tashlein, according to a Gwinnett Schools news release.
"Although I am thrilled to begin this new chapter, I will dearly miss my GSMST family. This school will forever hold a special place in my heart. My family and I will always cherish the fond memories we have created together," Mathews said in a message posted on the GSMST website.
Still awaiting a new principal is North Gwinnett High in Suwanee, which is losing Principal Ed Shaddix to the GCPS restructuring.
