Braves Fans Can Go 'Chopping' in Suwanee Park

Big screen TV telecast planned for Town Center Park on Saturday.

If you want to watch the Braves telecast from San Diego on Saturday, and don't want someone in your family stealing your clicker at home to switch to something else, you have an alternative.

The city is bringing in a 25-foot-by-25 foot screen to Town Center Park to show the Braves-Padres telecast by SportSouth from Petco Park. Game time is 8:30 p.m.

Obviously, a festival atmosphere is planned. Events begin at 6:30 p.m. with a concert by Full Circle. Also, Braves mascots Homer, Chopper and other team figures will be present. There will be prizes and giveaways, and a special play zone for children.
