Horn Makes a Lot of Noise for Peachtree Ridge

Receiver is the top Suwanee high school player this week.

It didn't take long for Joe Horn to make his mark last week in a key game against Norcross.

The receiver, who is the son of the former NFL receiver by the same name, caught a 75-yard scoring pass on the Lions' first play from scrimmage. He kept up the big-play moves later in the game with a 51-yard reception from QB Billy Best, as the Lions stayed in Region 7-AAAAA title contention with a 41-11 rout of visiting Norcross.

For his performance vs. the Blue Devils, Horn is the Suwanee Patch High School Player of the Week. He was credited with 166 yards receiving in the game.

The Lions are in the "Murderer's Row" portion of their schedule. They have beaten Collins Hill and Norcross the past two weeks, but must face another rival -- Duluth -- in their final home game this Friday.

There's no margin for error, either, as the Lions are tied with Suwanee rival North Gwinnett for the Region 7-AAAAA lead and a potential playoff berth
